We do care and are actively working on solutions. Come August this will hopefully be solved. In the meantime if you don’t want to risk it, avoid C tier CS2

Hi everyone, I have a question about sports market settlement. Is there any way to get the actual match status through the API or WebSocket? Specifically, I’d like to know when a match has been canceled, forfeited, or one of the participants didn’t show up, resulting in a 50/50 settlement. Right now, the only way I can detect this is by watching the odds. If they move to 50/50, I assume the market will be refunded. Is there a proper way to identify this event programmatically? Also, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s still possible to place bets on a match that has already effectively ended (for example, due to a forfeit or no-show), before the market is suspended. Why does this happen? Is there any way to detect or avoid this situation through the API/WebSocket? Thanks!

You can probably check the umaResolutionStatus and the token prices. Usually the umaResolutionStatus goes to `resolved` once you can redeem your shares for cash, not sure what happens in the event of a cancellation though

Now many CSGO teams intentionally forfeit matches, and settling the market with a 50-50 split is extremely unfair. They buy high-odds positions and then forfeit matches to easily win prize money. The game never even takes place—why should the stakes be split evenly? Shouldn’t all original wagers be refunded instead? I believe this is a serious problem. Anyone with insider information is guaranteed to make money, which means most ordinary users will end up losing money. I think everyone should join me in raising this issue so that improvements can be made. Because this is no longer a matter of winning or losing—it’s a situation where you’re bound to lose. This isn’t gambling; it’s a trap.

What they want to do is rip off users, and that's the predatory culture at Polymarket.

True, some insider placing bet on the bigger odds team. Then cashout when 50-50 settled
