how much is liquidation amount i seen it range fom 50-75%, with 40x - 15x leverage im trying to calculate 20 trades i total for my portfolio risk managemet, any simple advice would be appreciated thanks guys !

On hyperliquid liquidation is based on your maintenance margin that depends on the asset and amount of leverage its not just you lose %50 and get liquidated

If your starting out Id recommend putting your trades on Isolated margin so you can see a clear liquidation price and only risk 1-2% of your portfolio,

much appreciated haha yes i saw a trading begginners tutorial and they told me to use isolated so i used it ever since can you perhaps advise me if liquidation amount is usually 50 or 70% of my position size, say if i do 3% of my port each trade thanks

It very much ranges depending on leverage and asset but Id say around 70% but if your risking 3% I would go as far to add a stoploss. When I first got on hyperliquid I used it as gambling going max leverage everytime, and I ended up winning big shorting btc max leverage at 120k but after messing up many trades after that, unless I have some sort of Insider info I always go 3-4x leverage max. better to be safe and slow than lose everything gambling. but all ive said only applies to trading macro... if your trading price action, I personally believe its just complicated gambling but its a whole other world entirely

thanks love your strategy i agree with it myself, macro does that mean longer time frames and bigger world events so far i only trade btc usdc pair 🙂, okay ill take that as like 2/3 liquidation per position, youve been a great help ill use this for calculating thank you!
