To be fair, 99c bids have supposed to be excluded for months. So, the calculations just finally adjusted to actually do what the program terms say.

I personally think any strikes with liquidity rewards should earn them, regardless of price. And a better solution than this would be don’t put rewards on things that are pretty much 100% to happen, or have the term end before the event happens. Like for liquidity rewards on a mentions market, have them expire before the market starts. But that’s a different discussion. What I’m saying for now is that bids on 99c currently will say they’re accruing rewards when they are not. So it’s misleading right now and Kalshi should fix that.

I agree that the UI is wrong and should be fixed. I'm just saying that the program was amended months ago to exclude 99c bids. Merits of that could be debated but that's not what I'm talking about.

Yeah, but it wasn’t actually implemented until yesterday. Which is the much more important date. So it would have been great to get a post here saying “Here are the changes that were just implemented”. Especially since the UI is still saying they weren’t excluded.

It depends on what you mean by correctly. They changed it yesterday so rewards don’t accrue anymore on 99c strikes. The UI for rewards just still shows you’re accruing rewards, but you aren’t. It’s the UI that’s incorrect right now.

Their docs have been saying they don’t pay out for a while now… and if they were still paying out for 0.99 bids that explains why some of my payments were incorrect.
