I think this is a preference. Some people may prefer having 30min intermittent downtime and being able to sell a position when the engine is up, while some others would prefer a full 1h downtime.
Overall the first seems to be better as a lot of trades get placed in those windows.

The patch is out. Go to settings, enable the autoredeem there, and then disable it. That will now disable autoredeems across all positions (including combos)
