There's a whole cluster of open GitHub issues on Polymarket/py-clob-client-v2 (issues #51, #52, #53, #54, #56, #61, #74, #75, #83, #90) all reporting the same "maker address not allowed, please use the deposit wallet flow" error. Issue #56 in particular is about every account whose primary wallet was created via Magic.link, the default sign-up flow on polymarket.com — order placement is rejected regardless of signature_type or funder configuration, even though the same wallet trades fine through the official Polymarket UI. Other reporters tried every combination of signature_type (0, 1, 2, 3) and funder address and all of them fail with either this error or a related "signer address has to match the API key" error — no combination currently works for Magic.link/proxy-wallet accounts.
