I believe most of the team members are currently focused on the upcoming World Cup, but that shouldn't mean bettors from other sports have to come here every day and request matches manually. The goal should be to have everything added that people want to bet on. Users shouldn't need to constantly ask for markets to be created when the match data is already available.

Imagine not adding matches like Australia games, which used to generate at least millions in volume per match. What even seems to be the issue here? If its data provider please change the data provider. We're getting markets for T20 Blast and the ACC only after a lot of reconsideration and multiple requests yet international World Cup matches and international ODI series which generates millions in volume aren't being added. The same thing is happening with soccer, where many matches are also being left out. So this isn't just a cricket issue, it's affecting multiple sports. NO FINALS, NO PRE-WORLD MATCHES, AND MANY OTHER LEAGUE MATCHES ARE NOT BEING ADDED AS WELL. The other prediction markets are literally adding 110–120 cricket markets per day and practically every soccer match that's available. Why can't the team just hire people dedicated to specific sports? Maybe one person for cricket, one for soccer, and 2–3 others for different sports so that every available match can be added. Bel was hired, and while he wasn't specifically focused on sports, he made the workload much easier for the rest of the team. The same approach could work here by hiring 2–3 people dedicated to specific sports to ensure that every match gets added to the market. These new hires could also help prevent many of the mistakes and UI issues we've seen in recent sports events, ultimately improving the experience for all sports bettors and avoid the insane refunds. If someone like me can find all the markets which needs to be refunded days before the official announcement the new hires can help to avoid a lot of refunds and make the experience better for the team and for the bettors as well.

I think Polymarket team needs to improve the system they use for adding matches. ITF already has all the matches available, and they end up adding almost all of them, even though 90% of those markets have less than $1k–$2k in volume. At the same time, that doesn't happen with soccer or cricket and many other games. A lot of matches never get added, including World Cup warm-up matches. Other platforms listed those games, and it was a huge tournament leading up to the actual World Cup, yet nothing got added here. So I think the team should improve the match selection process and coverage across different sports. Like simply add whatever is available. That shouldn't be a problem imo all you need are the match details. If they're thinking about volume, then cricket might never have reached millions in volume because, at the start, even the biggest international matches were barely doing $40k–$50k, like during the ODI World Cup 2023 and now they do a minimum of $1M-$2M each game. Honestly time to reconsider the match selection process or the system which is used to add those. Just back in april we used to have every match in every game and it was all good. If I compare April to June, there's been almost a 50–60% reduction or even more in the number of matches being added relative to the total number of matches available each day.
