Hi! This project is epic, my only concern is the closed-source node software. Are there any plans to release the code someday, or at least release a slower, open-source node, so that if something happens to the company, the community can continue managing the blockchain?

afaik order book operations are highly optimized for very fast performance, so I understand they keep it closed. What I suggest is they publish also a suboptimal, basic, non-optimized version, that is slower but works. If something happened, community could continue using the slower version and use it as a basis for developing faster versions over time.

And I almost forgot: the BNB node software is 100% open source; investors would value the fact that the blockchain doesn't belong to a single company. For example, if Binance were to shut down today, the community could easily fork the chain.

that's not true. The HyperEVM execution (the part that actually processes EVM transactions, maintains state, and participates in consensus) runs inside Hyperliquid’s closed-source validator binary (the HyperCore/HyperEVM client that validators run).
