I promise if you have any kind of relevant volume you already have a personal POC. If you'd like better communication I'd suggest incorporating and getting an institutional account

Not an issue, just inconvenience and I didn't see any benefit yet, like API tiers and everything works the same on normal accounts. Do you have an institutional account? In what way do you get a personal POC then?

I was thrilled to empty my personal account when I opened an institutional. It took 4 hours because I had a personal POC who fast tracked it and from that moment on I had that POC for any issue. Responses within minutes for any issue

Do you need to move the cash down onto a bank and onto the new account or can Kalshi transfer that for you?

I can't promise anything but how it worked for me was I reached out to the general institutional email support to make sure I had all the relevant docs I got a response from an an individual POC in the institutional dept who walked me through the application process. When I had all of the relevant docs he was standing by to instantly approve the new account and then confirmed he would be my personal POC going forward The document process took some time on my end but Kalshi made it very simple

They won't lock your personal acct but they will make it transfer only. Meaning you can't open new contracts but your open contracts are fine

Your mileage may vary. I trade on short term crypto markets so bei g down for a few hours is no big deal

I made the transition in an afternoon. Biggest lag was my own banking side moving funds. I don't know if Kalshi can easily move funds from an existing acct to a new one so you might have to account for that

If your margins are that thin you can probably find a way to shimmy it over. I'd just bite the bullet and get it done right if I were you. Take a long weekend

There's always upside to be lost. I know you're young. My advice is think in quarters/years. If losing a few days of profit helps you maximize in the longterm that's an investment, not a loss

But you dont have to anyways you can have your downtime under 5 minutes switching to an institutional acc if you do it right. And most trading systems are designed such that you can update one strategy or component without restarting the whole system to maintain uptime. AWS doesn't stop giving you service randomly
