more fees so less taker volume, and they expect makers to quote tighter with the tick size decrease and no additional rebates <:Bidensmile:1040247925420339251>

I mean.. they're trying to give back but it benefits whales mostly. Id prefer lower fees all day long instead of all these rebates. Its not even that easy to get both taker and maker rebates anyways. Even when I do get them it just cents

I understand they're a business, they'll keep lowering these rebates as long as there's enough liquidity on the site

revenue from poly about to drop by 30% week over week . the simple reason: higher fees. the irony.

I hate taker tiers. Literally makes certain strategies viable, but only for people already making a ton. Just throwing that out there. Just charge fees and be done. Preferential treatment sucks. I say this knowing I could combine my strategies into one wallet and gain the benefit. But it's dumb and I'm not doing it.

They need to do like every other crypto exchange. no fee on makers, and a small taker fee.

I can see why the fees would be higher than a typical exchange because of the work creating and resolving the markets and you'll have to have a much larger customer service team etc etc. People are gonna go where the fees are less though. Period. fees and liquidity.

due to higher fees people inclined to market buy way less .. meaning less volume .. meaning bids just sit there waiting for takers... its a death spiral.

yes and it will. my prediction is that generated fees by poly will drop very quickly as soon as the world cup is over. and i am thinking to lower levels than before the world cup.

a traditional sportsbook can charge high fees, because people cant place bids. but if a prediction market charges high fees people will stop to trade and liquidity will freeze on both sides. Its actually mind boggling how bad the situation is.

You want "tighter spreads"? With an approach like that, you won't have any users left to trade those tighter spreads. Don't embarrass yourselves, leave the order book for the remaining World Cup matches without decimals.

Or even less. I mean Kalshi lets makers pay fees. Most plattforms are 0%. So you neither pay or get rebates as a maker. I dont see a reason poly isnt adapting to "industry standards" here
