Market description This market will resolve to “Yes” if Nicușor Dan resigns, is removed, or otherwise permanently ceases to be President of Romania for any period of time between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of Nicușor Dan’s resignation/removal before this market’s end date will immediately resolve this market to “Yes”, regardless of when the announced resignation/removal goes into effect. 4. Resolution criteria This market resolves to “Yes” if, by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, any of the following occurs: Nicușor Dan resigns as President of Romania. Nicușor Dan is removed/discharged from the office of President of Romania. The office of President of Romania becomes vacant due to Nicușor Dan’s death or permanent inability to discharge the powers and duties of the office. Nicușor Dan is otherwise permanently prevented from serving as President of Romania. This market resolves to “No” if Nicușor Dan remains President of Romania through December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Only permanent removal or permanent vacancy of the office will qualify. Temporary suspension, temporary inability to discharge duties, the appointment of an interim/acting president, impeachment/suspension proceedings without final removal, or rumors of resignation/removal will not by themselves qualify for a “Yes” resolution. 5. Resolution source The primary resolution sources for this market will be official information from the Presidency of Romania, Nicușor Dan, the Government of Romania, the Romanian Constitutional Court, the Romanian Parliament, and/or Romania’s Official Gazette, as applicable. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used, especially if official sources are delayed, unavailable, or contradictory.
