Outcome: Yes/No This market will resolve to “Yes” if Nicolas Sarkozy receives a new sentence to any time in jail/prison for any criminal charges, imposed after the creation of this market and by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Any qualifying prison sentence will count regardless of subsequent appeals, suspensions, modifications, or other changes to the sentence. A prison sentence will qualify even if it is served under electronic monitoring or an electronic bracelet, provided the court formally imposes a prison sentence. A suspended prison sentence (“prison avec sursis”) will not count as a qualifying prison sentence for this market. Prison sentences imposed before the creation of this market will not qualify for resolution. If all criminal proceedings that could result in a new prison sentence for Nicolas Sarkozy formally conclude without a new prison sentence being imposed before the resolution date, including due to charges being dismissed, an acquittal, a final judgment not involving a prison sentence, or if no judgment is issued and no criminal proceedings remain pending that could result in a new prison sentence before the resolution date, this market will resolve to “No”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the relevant courts and government authorities; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Only vessels explicitly included in CENTCOM’s cumulative count of redirected vessels will qualify. Vessels that are reported as disabled, seized, boarded, intercepted, inspected, warned, escorted, or otherwise acted upon by U.S. forces will not count unless CENTCOM specifically includes them in its reported total of redirected vessels. If CENTCOM publishes multiple figures before the resolution deadline, the highest cumulative redirected-vessel total reported by CENTCOM on or before June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET will be used for resolution. The sole resolution source for this market will be official statements, press releases, or social media posts published by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM). No other reporting sources will be used to determine resolution.
