Exactly, yes. If you're willing to buy at the strike and don't mind being patient it can work out really well. The main idea is 300Iv for a ~3tn company is nuts

Sell naked OTM puts and collect the premium upfront. If the puts get assigned then you own spcx at that strike price (plus you keep the premium). If it doesn't trade below strike then you just keep the premium and then sell another put if you want

Bitcoin is commodity that generates zero profit but is fixed supply, decentralized and uncensorable. MSTR is a business that takes all sorts of risks and tries to generate bitcoin yields. It doesn't have any good properties of bitcoin other than number go up. In my mind equity and commodities are completely different asset classes. Same as how guns and ammo are not a substitute for cash or gold

The benefit of MSTR leverage vs traditional forms is the long duration and protection against liquidation that individuals can't typically access. The STRC buyer and the MSTR buyer are completely different animals

The dividend (for STRC the largest pref) is variable rate, that's another lever they can pull if things get extreme. Think about it this way, they generate value by monetizing the depreciation of fiat relative to bitcoin. If that thesis fails, the entire cap structure is busted

They have a very well defined schedule of interest and div payments and the market impact of selling a few hundred bitcoin would be almost zero. Nobody is going to sell 800k+ bitcoin in one trade buddy

It's a liquid market, I wouldn't be able to tell you but if you're interested you can look at their weekly buys compared to the VWAP or something to model their slippage. It's not bad, and their buys relative to market volume is tiny

Yes but they've been accretive wrt bitcoin for years. Just because they lose a few sats per share at the trough of the market (because they're increasing their cash reserves to calm the market). It's not a ponzi, they have 56bn bitcoin and 1.2bn cash vs 7bn debt and 15bn in prefs that never come due - they can just sell bitcoin if they decide. But why sell bitcoin when you can ATM common stock at a premium to NAV?
