It makes absolutely no sense for it not to pass. A matter of fact it already passed the Senate and I expect it to get signed before the end of the year. It's the ONLY way for institutional money to come into crypto. They require regulatory clarity before allocating significant capital. No government, institution, sovereign wealth fund, or corporation is going to pool/invest billions of dollars before you can differentiate between the sublayers of the system it's being transacted on. You need a level of regulatory clarity before allocating significant capital. Which is what clarity act aims to achieve.

Once clarity act gets passed. There will be pressure for this feature to be built. Either a new layer 1 blockchain will be built for this purpose. As I don't see pre-ipo trading not being a thing of the future. There's a HUGE TAM to be addressed in both tokenizing private equity and pre-IPO secondary trading.
Look at Claude, SpaceX, Kraken PRE-IPO hype. Most startup's and companies nowadays are surpassing the speed of traditional finance when it comes to raising capital. With trading a company post IPO once they decide to issue shares on the public market as a liquidation event. (Buy the rumor / oppurtunity, sell the news/event). I see a clear path for how Hyperliquid can build and capture this whole market in a decentralized manner.
But you must first build & have the tokenized market. But once you're able to tokenize equity itself you can build this out. Tokenized equity shares fundamentally / theoritically operate the same way as commodities.

Not yet. But that's my point. We are at the start of it all.

Hype is currently rewriting the rules for capital allocation. This is one of HYPERLIQUIDS biggest blockchain design moats right now. Which spikes my curiosity as to how centralized Jeff will allow and build the foundation to be. As well as address several concerning issues with the current blockchain design that need to be resolved.
The NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) could theoretically become a validator themselves acting as a infrastructure as a business. Similar to what Circle–Hyperliquid partnership enables with USDC/Stablecoin and treasuries.
They (NASDAQ/NYSE) could host / create / provide a service which allows for this paradigm of financial activity to be transacted. Similar to how Circle allows for Hyperliquid to have access to the US market.
So that's to say beyond your idea of cross margin perps with stocks. It can allow for new possibilities of trading such as pre-ipo stocks. It would blend crypto (24/7 trading and price discovery), with equities (stocks / securities), and traditional finance (forex). To create a new paradigm for financial activity.

Now that I think about it you're right. I was comparing it to my expectations in 5x years. But in terms of fundamentals for the next cycle you're right. To think it happened this early is crazy.

Took a while off crypto and as I'm beginning to come back now. I'm starting to think/realize these will be some of the best and last years for us to make generation wealth off HYPE. As both an investor - whether you're using the platform to speculate in crypto or from holding the token itself. Or more crucially a builder. Once the adoptation of HYPE spreads which it currently is (crypto twitter + new highs). We potentially are at what I'd say the start of HYPE's bullrun. I always knew the thesis on HYPE was solid it's essentially trying to become's crypto NASDAQ. But if I'm right about crypto as a whole and with the partnership it secured with Circle. The door is open for it to not only enter the US market but receive universal adaptation. If the SEC ruiling is favorable, we get a clarity act bill. I don't see HYPERLIQUID failing to become one of the the earliest tokens capable of decoupling.
