That’s all true, but I don’t quite understand how Binance can help me in a market-making strategy if, say, Binance provides data with a 100 ms delay, and I still need to place an order that may not even get filled. With a taker strategy, it’s a bit easier to see the logic.

Could you explain it a bit more specifically? I’ve looked for similar examples and haven’t found anything. I also realize that it isn’t easy to make the economics of a taker strategy work, since commissions eat into its profits.

The thing is, I’m not asking for a recipe; I’m only asking for a hint so I don’t waste money on something that Claude claims is possible. He keeps insisting that it’s feasible to build a market-making bot based solely on the PM order book, but all my tests have failed.

So does that mean trading isn’t confined solely to PM itself when you’re trying to do market making in the crypto five-minute markets?

Okay, if everything is exactly as you describe it, then how do you think market-making bots, of which there are quite a large number on PM, operate

Guys, for those who know this stuff and have a working market-making bot with a combined ratio below 1: is it actually possible to build it using only the order book, or do you need additional metrics and tools? Claude insists that Binance candlesticks aren’t necessary, but in live the bot still doesn’t work.
