Y is the stock price. x is just time passed. Assume Y=sin(x)+e at all times, e is the noise. You know this for sure. Then nothing can be better than sin(x) function. Fitting a neural net will lead to no improvement at all, with overfitting as a bonus.

ML is used for approximating functions. Let's say you knew stock price is sin(x), where x is something. Then using ML to fit this just introduces complexity without any upside. The problem is determinism, the probability of outcome is not what is the focus usually.
