placed an order at limit price, order filled and orderbook updated to show me paying a fee. the interface failed to show "X shares matching", which means i'm signing something (ie a fee permission) that doesn't match what the front end says i'm saying. this is a mortal sin in webdev

also "matches" are ussually best 2oo3, even in polymarkets own nomenclature. a "map" or "round" is what you want.
