I worked at mort-gage companies and tax companies for about a decade before doing this full time. the amount of people I would talk to that literally could show you their bank account increased multiple millions of dollars in a year but could not qualify for a $300K mort-gage because they show $0 in annual income is disgusting. It happens a lot more than you think.

Yes this article is just basic math. Obviously the highest 'reported income' people pay by far the most taxes. but that is very misleading. because the super rich will increase there wealth drastically and show $0 in annual income.
