Maybe they are not complaining because they are taking their trades to other markets. See how Kalshi quotes for the exact same market with thick liquidity across one price band instead of $1000 liquidity spread across

It is, earlier the tick size used to change much slower towards the end of a match, now as soon as price hovers in 90c a bit then it changes and you have many winbledon matches where the tick changes in 2nd or heck even 1st set and then the price goes all the way to 50-50 and theres llike so much thin liquidty spread across all bands

Ideally the orders would rest within 1c. But now the same orders are resting across 10 bands (63.1 to 63.9 etc)

A tight spread is a very good thing; if market makers are afraid to commit, it benefits recreational traders, who can place limit orders and get matched without having to pay taker fees.

It's live betting—a break point, a missed serve, etc.—so the odds shift; whether the spread is 1 or 0.1, I'm not sure it makes much of a difference.
