I just saw my closing without handshake at 15:31, but recovery logic is so robust I didnt even see the errors.

For instance CME has UDP/TCP for MMs and WSS for retail, so actually by their standard your question is on point

If I worked at polymarket, I'd introduce a UDP firehose channel and slowly phase out the market ws

I believe it's in the protocol. Each ws message sent to a client is a unique copy. We can't all look at the same stream with tcp/ws. But we can with UDP/Multicast. Again, I might be wrong

I think you're right – a wss connection over tcp has some unique identifier probably

I'm kind of surprised when I read about websocket issues. I maintain 5 for redundancy and almost never have a problem. Only one market per stream though.

You can try recovery tool but I am not sure it will recover the combo to be honest. The reply may take up to few days depending on the volume of requests and complexity of your case.

I solved this by periodically shuting down the current one. Before I do that for a couple of seconds I fire up the next one, only after I get through the initial OB list to first actual changes I still wait a bit to have the tape two times and than I close the old one. Then dedup. If I do the restart often enough I am close to no gaps in data, or like to the amount, that almost doesnt matter. Did you try this?

Here is what’s going into Phase 1 (giving it out for free to get real testers): ⚡ Redundant Websockets: Pulling from 3 servers. If one drops, the others catch it. Zero missed ticks. 📊 Real Price Tracking: 3m candles of the exact BTC index price PM uses. ⚖️ Directional Volume: Separating UP volume and DOWN volume to see where the crowd is shifting before price moves. 🌍 Session Boxes: Overlaying Asia/London/NY sessions to spot liquidity breakouts vs. consolidation chop. 📓 Trade Journaling: Auto-screenshots of your entry/exits exported to PDF to build a real pre-market routine. 🏋️ "The Gym": A backtesting engine that drops you into a random historic PM date so you can fast-forward and paper-trade real scenarios. I’m coding this right now. What am I missing? If you guys have any specific features you're dying for on PM, let me know and I’ll literally build it in.
