Large businesses buy traditional insurance. Insurance companies insure their policies against payouts via re-insurers. It's big money. I think what you're proposing would have to start with smaller businesses -- insurance without the red tape. Imagine you own a vineyard and the weather can severely affect the amount and quality of your wine. That's smaller money, but I still don't think there's enough liquidity yet. The question is, do Polymarket serously want to get this bootstrapped?

Isn't it a bit of a chicken/egg situation? In order to hedge in serious amounts, there will need to be sufficient liquidity. Are you seeing this happen?

Ghost orders: there are 2 major problems, and people are missing the more important one!
1. You can't enter the market due to ghost orders disappearing when you try to "take" them. Everyone gets this.
2. When there are ghost orders padding the spread, the price you see is not the true market price! You cannot see the real state of the market, and therefore are using unreliable information to make decisions.
Problem 2 is far more important, and should worry Polymarket seriously, because it totally undermines the very purpose of the markets, and makes them untrade-able for serious traders.

Exported transaction data is not consistent across repeat exports:
- Transactions missing/present
- Numerical values for the same transaction ID differ slightly
- Duplicate transactions (e.g. I have a duplicated deposit, with identical ID)
Could this be what is/was causing the balance to fluctuate like crazy over the last few days? A number of others have reported this too.
