Ghost orders: there are 2 major problems, and people are missing the more important one! 1. You can't enter the market due to ghost orders disappearing when you try to "take" them. Everyone gets this. 2. When there are ghost orders padding the spread, the price you see is not the true market price! You cannot see the real state of the market, and therefore are using unreliable information to make decisions. Problem 2 is far more important, and should worry Polymarket seriously, because it totally undermines the very purpose of the markets, and makes them untrade-able for serious traders.

If Polymarket changes the tick size, ghost orders for LP farming will get worse. Smaller ticks increase the incentive to sit closer to the midpoint and chase rewards with zero risk, which makes reward farming even more attractive to them . That means finer tick sizes could actually reduce the incentive to provide honest, executable liquidity and increase the amount of fake depth on the book.

I don't think it's about rewards; we need to punish fake activities. The first time, lock the account and require identity verification through support to get unbanned. The second time, give them an even harsher punishment.

The team could pull LP rewards/volume data from before ghost cancels took off, to establish a baseline for normal behaviour. That gives a clear reference point for flagging suspect accounts today. from looking at normal farmers and my own anything over 5 percent is suspect

ghost orders may be Polymarket its own problem, a few hours ago, I cancelled two orders, but the trading page still shows the two orders, I can see someone place sell but the two orders disappeared and then showed again, I suppose that may be Polymarket cache or some servers not sync with sql caused this kind of ghost orders!

OK, but if you don't get any notification about an order being filled from the system and you don't have it on chain where does the 361 shares number come from? I understand you may not know, but I'm asking, it just shows up randomly, or it shows up when you place an order of a different size or..?
Or that was the size that you put in order in for and it did appear to be filled but you never got those shares except for the 19 That it shows in the history?
