I'd try to filter out RFQs that are unlikely to convert to a fill regardless of your price. They do care about acceptance rates of your quotes.

From what I have seen there are absolutely bots sending RFQs where the price is irrelevant they wouldn’t take anything they are literally just spamming

Yeah to be fair to Kalshi they can’t just say here is exactly what you need to do to not get banned otherwise the real spammers will just find a way around it

I’d think this could cause some issues on Kalshi’s end though if they really are trying to cut people who are taking up resources while not leading to fills. One person doing 10,000 RFQs isn’t a big deal. A bunch of quoters responding to those RFQs with reasonable prices but not at a level for the requester who is only looking for mispriced errors can escalate exponentially

I think the idea would be causing a lot of people to send quotes on RFQs that are not going to be filled. Not saying this is you but if someone is making a bunch of RFQs but their price that they would actually accept them for is unreasonable based on what the quotes are pricing it at, that is someone causing a lot of Kalshi resources to be used for a very small amount of fills

I’m sure there’s some caution to be too transparent because then spam bots can attack strategically within those limits but any info on how to avoid this is the future would be greatly appreciated

Is this something we can track through Kalshi? I don’t think I was anywhere near that low from my own data but if you guys are seeing something else I’d love to know how I can keep my account in good graces

Yeah I agree and that hit my bot really hard. I fixed the 429 issue that I can verify. The volume issue I think I fixed too but hard to verify without being allowed to quote.

When reviewing my data I noticed I had a lot of 429s whenever I started up my bot to get the open markets in my quoting scope. I also noticed on super high volume moments my bot would get overwhelmed and would fail to confirm accepted quotes. Despite my 429s fixing after the first minute or so and my overall confirm rate I think like 95% I do see how I could get caught up in a spam sweep. But some clarification or at least acknowledgement would be incredibly helpful

Every POST returns 400 for invalid parameters but according to the API our parameters look to be correct. I sent some emails to the main support account with a lot of details I’d be happy to share

I don’t think I’m doing anything to warranted being banned but if I am I would be more than willing to fix it by just them providing a blanket warning of you need xx% fill rate to remain in good standing or something

I recognize my volume looks like a lot to the average person but to an MM or Kalshi in general it’s pennies. But it’d be strange to just do a ban without any type of warning or announcement and also why would it throw a 400 error for invalid parameters as opposed to something directly about how we are banned?

It has been a few days now for multiple people who were responding to RFQs to all of the sudden receiving all 400 errrors for invalid parameters on every POST. Is there anything else we can do to ensure Kalshi is aware of this issue?

Yes its a 400 and the message says "invalid parameters" but I didnt change the parameters I POST so I'm not sure why it stopped working all of the sudden
