Once hyperliquid introduces more sports markets and the liquidity get better, i am out of polymarket for life, and there was never going to be an airdrop, from the amount of money they raised and the type of investors they raised money from of course an ipo is always going to be #1 option, promising an airdrop was the only way for them to get crypto natives to use polymarket after losing all that volume to kalshi. Man seriously, i pray polymarket volume falls off a cliff after 0.25c tick size and the stupid fee updates,

I swear i would take any prediction market over polymarket rn, they are just borderline terrible, pushing this tick size updates in the middle of a game has lost me money twice now. As suprisingly as it might seems sometimes the other side might still have the same price and only that particular market changes. For example, today i placed a no mexico @ 49c, the czech moved from 25c to 26c and the market on the mexico game still remained on 51c

Obviously no, since they just immediately placed new orders at the new prices(buy side) so the spread doesn't even pass 1c spread and they just layer all their orders at new price (sell side) and just sell

Yeah i get your pov that market maker obviously can't collude with each other since they are competitor and shit but i am telling i have seen it a few times in this world cup, they just cancel orders and make the orderbook thin and push prices upwards, sell off and do that multiple times

And the orderbook were quite thick, imagine a 100000$ worth of shares disappearing and the orderbook turning thin and before you know it, an MM took the remaining 2000 shares and pushed the price up succesfully

So reducing the spread to me is not a wise decision since kalshi still has a 1c spread which forces people to just be a taker instead of being makers which in turn makes polymarket more money

I understand your point of saying a 1c spread hurts the MM' s but you forget that the MM's have been making it work even with that spread by manipulating the orderbook artifically to boost the prices up and cash out before the games start
