Change the proposal reward for sports events back to $2. An $0.80 reward is ridiculously low, especially considering that sports generate some of the highest revenue on the platform. People lose $750 if something is wrong. You are not giving them any free money.

Are you guys seriously trying to save $10k a day which can potentially delay the resolution for like 90% of the sports market? Have you ever considered checking the PNL of an average UMA proposer? or just the top ones and thought to nerf it all?

It's not about reducing the reward to a specific number, a specific number may be UMA team's idea. But lowering the overall reward and cutting cost shouldn't be theirs. We should not play the word games here.

Let me be very clear: 800 out of roughly 2,000 wallets with at least one proposal are currently operating at a loss. Almost nobody is making significant money except the top two or three proposers, and even they regularly take major losses when their proposals are disputed. A reward of $0.60 or $0.80 is ridiculous when a single incorrect proposal can cost someone $750. Crypto proposers pay 35-40 cent gas on each proposal now to get 0.6$. Mentions markets are often ambiguous, and geopolitics markets carry the same level of uncertainty. The reward is completely disproportionate to the financial risk proposers are taking. Best to do the right thing and change it back to $2 and $5. People do lose if they're wrong. $10-20k a day won't hurt to get everything proposed on time. You can see how people struggle to get their markets proposed in channels all the day and if you offer 80 cent for a single proposal. I don't know what will happen. Its good not to risk to save to 10k$ a day which can potentially delay a LOT of proposals.

you guys propose on yourself then. Many will not do this stuff for your resolution. From 5 to 2, and now from 2-0.6/0.8 you guys can do this proposals stuff then. are you building loyal proposer base or uma. Tomorrow uma will say they want to remove proposers and deploy their bots will you also entertain that. Long term vision in resolving proposal is missing for saving few thousand dollars.

It's not like proposers don't have anything on the line. it takes a lot of money to propose. The people who would be willing to do this work for 80c usually don't have the money needed to propose markets. And everyone fucks up once in a while. It would take 375 proposals to break even previously. With the new changes it'll take 625 proposals to recover from a bad proposal. It's not worth the risk or time.
